Thanks for coming to our Halloween Sing-Along! The children had fun singing fall and Halloween songs including 5 little Pumpkins, leaves Are Changing, Here We Come to Trick or Treat, The Pumpkin on the Vine, Knock Knock it’s Halloween, It’s Halloween, and Stirring the Brew. This month we learned a dance to Firework by Katy Perry during fire prevention week. The Kindergarten and fours classes sang Scotland’s Burning and learned about melodic direction. The 2’s classes sang Old McDonald Had A Farm and did the chicken dance for the farm week theme. We always add fun percussion instruments to our songs and make music along with the guitar. The fours, fives and Kindergarten classes will do a listening exercise to In The Hall of the Mountain King by Greig, which sounds like one of our Halloween songs! We will continue fall songs about owls and scarecrows, keep playing xylophones and percussion instruments and will practice playing handbells. We will be singing songs for Thanksgiving and also practicing for our upcoming Christmas concert in December.
